MERCER MODERN.

Mercer Modern is a sensitive renovation of a 1960s Pacific Northwest mid-century modern rambler. The project converts an unconditioned garage into a simple, elegant living space, while a reconfigured site entry creates a new central courtyard for family gatherings. Finely tuned energy upgrades support generous vaulted ceilings while retaining the home’s defining Dutch gable roofline. An existing motif of vertical wooden fins is extended across the new additions to create a cohesive, integrated development.
